The Interreg Sudoe Programme supports regional development in Southwest Europe by funding transnational projects through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
It promotes transnational cooperation to solve problems common to the regions of Southwest Europe, such as low investment in research and development, low competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and exposure to climate change and environmental risks.
Interreg Sudoe (short for Interreg V-B South West Europe Cooperation Programme) was approved by the European Commission on 18 June 2015 with a budget of €141 million. The full text is available in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
