MED
The MED Programme is a transnational programme of European territorial cooperation. It is funded by the European Union as an instrument of its regional policy. The new programming period continues the tradition of European cooperation programmes known as Interreg.
The international context allows the programme to address territorial challenges beyond those related to national borders, such as environmental risk management, international trade or international transport. Until 2015, 155 projects have been programmed and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
With a budget of over €250 million, the Programme will launch calls for projects to build international partnerships that meet the Programme's priority objectives within the Mediterranean area.
