Development of new winemaking technologies by integrating protein engineering, structure-based design, omics methodologies, and artificial intelligence to address the challenges of the wine sector. The project will integrate relevant actors from both sides of the border, bring advanced technologies closer to wineries, and facilitate the transfer of innovative and sustainable wine production solutions that increase competitiveness. The participating centres (researchers) are: UNIZAR (Javier Sancho: BIFI), IFV (Carole FEILHES) and ICVV-CSIC (Juan Fernández Recio, Pilar Morales Calvo and Ramón González García).

The OENOPROT project has been co-financed 65% by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-France-Andorra Programme (POCTEFA 2021-2027). The objective of POCTEFA is to strengthen the economic and social integration of the Spain-France-Andorra border area.
