MSCA-Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024 Call for applications now open

The MSCA-PF actions fund individual research and post-doctoral career support grants, in which any legal entity from a Member State or associated countries may participate. These grants aim to enhance the creative and innovative potential of PhD researchers wishing to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility with leading research and innovation projects in Europe and worldwide, including in the non-academic sector.

There are two modalities:

• European Postdoctoral Fellowships:

  They are open to researchers of any nationality who wish to participate in R&I projects, either coming to Europe from any country in the world or moving within Europe. The standard duration of these grants should be between 12 and 24 months.

•  Global Postdoctoral Fellowships:

  For European citizens or long-term residents outside EU Member States and countries associated to Horizon Europe. These fellowships require an outgoing phase of a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 24 months to a non-associated third country, and a mandatory return phase of 12 months to a host organisation based in an EU Member State or a country associated to Horizon Europe.

Candidate requirements:

• Be in possession of a PhD (at the end of the call), applicants who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but have not formally obtained a doctoral degree will also be considered eligible.
• Maximum 8 years of research experience, starting from the date of obtaining your doctorate.
• MSCA mobility rule: not to have been resident or active in the country of the beneficiary or in the host organisation for the outgoing phase, for more than 12 months in the 36 months preceding the closure of the call.
