Horizon Europe: In search of the most multidisciplinary clusters - How to participate and get your proposal right. The case of Cluster 2

The University of Zaragoza is organising a conference on Horizon Europe on 9 May 2024, which will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Law - University of Zaragoza.

With a budget of over €95 billion, Horizon Europe is the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation for the period 2021-2027. It funds major research and innovation ideas and projects in Europe through three main pillars: Excellent Science (Pillar I), Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness in Europe (Pillar II) and Innovative Europe (Pillar III).
With the aim of encouraging the participation of researchers from the University of Zaragoza in calls of the Horizon Europe Programme, the Vice-Rectorate for Science Policy, through the European Projects Office, is organising on 9 May this face-to-face conference "Horizon Europe: In search of the most multidisciplinary clusters - How to participate and get it right with your proposal. The case of Cluster 2."
Description of the event:
The day, organised in collaboration with FECYT, will have the National Contact Point Adeline Marcos Talva as speaker. It is organised in three blocks:

  • General outline of Horizon Europe. Current status of the programme and future trends. The new developments and the new strategic plan approved by the European Commission for the period 2025-2027 will be presented. The importance of interdisciplinarity in Horizon Europe projects.
  • Pillar I - Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness in Europe. The characteristics of the type of projects expected will be detailed. In particular, calls for proposals and examples of projects from Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Shared Societies will be presented.
  • Preparation of Pillar II proposals - "Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness in Europe". The three parts of a model proposal will be presented. Policy priorities to be taken into account and cross-cutting issues such as gender equality and open science practices.

The conference is aimed at research personnel and R&D&I project managers.
The capacity is limited to 30 people.
