Interreg Sudoe (ENG)

The second call for Sudoe projects is open from 26 February 2024 until 31 May 2024 at 12:00 noon (Santander local time, mainland Spain).

As with the first call, it is organised in two competitive phases.

With a budget of EUR 57.7 million, the call for projects is open to all specific objectives under Priorities 1, 2 and 3.

Preserving natural capital and strengthening adaptation to climate change SUDOE (24.8M)

• SO 2.4: Promote climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention and resilience, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches (9.9M)
• SO 2.5: Promote access to water and sustainable water management (7.5M)
• SO 2.7: Increase the protection and conservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reduce all forms of pollution.(7.4M)

2. Promoting social cohesion and territorial and demographic balance in the SUDOE through innovation and the transformation of productive sectors (12.2M)

• SO 1.1: Develop and enhance research and innovation capacities and assimilate advanced technologies (8.9M)
• SO 1.4: Developing capabilities for smart specialisation, industrial transition and entrepreneurship (3.3M)

3. Promoting social cohesion and territorial and demographic balance in the SUDOE through social innovation, the enhancement of heritage and services (16.7M)

• SO 4.1: Improve the efficiency and inclusiveness of labour markets and access to quality employment by developing social infrastructures and promoting the social economy (5.4M)
• SO 4.5: Ensure equity of access to health care and strengthen the resilience of health systems, in particular primary care, and promote the transition from institutional to family and local care (7.5M)
• SO 4.6: Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation (3.8M)
